I believe in Dogs. When I was about ten years old I got my very own dog because I loved dogs. I felt like when you are sad or not feeling well, or when another animal of yours is sick they always come and sit next to you to try to make you feel better and to try to see what is wrong with you. A lot of times when I get sad or mad I am alone in my room with nobody to talk to nobody to tell them what is wrong, but when I got my dog I knew I was not going to be alone in my room for much longer. When I got my dog I was so happy I played with her for a very long time. but then  I tripped on a leg of a chair and I hurt my knee really bad. So  I ran up to my room about five minutes after my dog walked in she had only been there about seven or eight hours and she hardly even knew me but she still came up to my room to see if i was ok. She always was there for me, but of course she did get out of the house from time to time but it seemed that she was doing it for fun or a joke, but she always stayed near the house. She always came back to me. She knew that our house was her home she would never leave. After a about nine months of having her she got really sick. We brang her into the vet to see what was wrong with her. They didn’t know at the time so they gave us some medication to try to help, but that didn’t help at all. We went in again after a month and she got worse but they still didn’t know what was wrong. So it was almost her birthday and she was still very sick and we just couldn’t figure out what was wrong. It was her birthday and she was just so sick that we were going to have to put her down that night, but my sisters dog came into the room where my dog was and when we tried to pick her up my sisters dog growled and barked at us to try to stop us. That shows that dogs do care for family and other pets that you do own. In the end I think that if you are going to get any kind of pet or animal you should get a dog because they will always be there for you in your time of need.
